PNP officials revamp imminent —Albayalde
Ground commanders of the Philippine National Police will soon have new assignments, PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said on Wednesday.
Albayalde said the PNP top brass decided to do a revamp of the police commanders' assignments after a series of meetings with the oversight committee which deliberated on the performances of city, provincial and regional level commanders.
"We have decided, number one, to warn 'yung mga nakita natin na below par 'yung kanilang performance at 'yung mga sabihin nating hindi pa naka-align sa ating program thrusts," Albayalde said at a weekly forum held in Manila.
The PNP chief also clarified that the reshuffle was not solely based on their performance as there would be a number of police officers who will retire from the service, prompting the need for the movement within the ranks.
"'Yung reshuffle natin not necessarily naman na 'yung iba ay non-performers. 'Yung iba naman ay talagang may magreretire at 'yung iba ay talagang retirable na," Albayalde said.
"Yung iba two years na sa pwesto. This reshuffle is forthcoming," he added. —NB, GMA News
