PNP reshuffles key posts; Eleazar named Metro Manila top cop
The Philippine National Police has announced the reshuffle of its key posts, with Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar being named as the new chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
Eleazar, who is the director of Police Regional Office 4A (Calabarzon), will now take over the post of Director Camilo Pancratius Cascolan as NCRPO chief effective June 1.
Cascolan was reassigned to head the Civil Security Group (CSG).
CSG chief Director Federico Dulay Jr, meanwhile, was transferred to the Office of the Chief PNP.
Other police officials who were part of the reshuffle were:
- Chief Supt. Edward Esperat Carranza relieved from PRO Cordillera and reassigned to PRO Calabarzon;
- Chief Supt. Rolando Zambale Nana relieved from NCRPO and reassigned to PRO Cordillera;
- Chief Supt. Rolando Barajan Anduyan relieved from PRO ARRM and reassigned to NCRPO;
- Chief Supt. Cesar Binag, regional director of PRO 6 (Western Visayas) will now lead the Directorate for Information and Communication Technology Management.
PNP spokesperson Chief Supt. John Bulalacao will take over the post of Binag as PRO 6 chief.
