Unidentified gunmen killed Monday morning an employee of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Quezon City, GMA 7's DZBB reported. Radio reports said Johnny Cervantes Danganan sustained at least seven gunshot wounds and died before he was brought to the Novaliches General Hospital. Police are investigating witnesses' accounts that a gunman was seen boarding a public utility bus (PUB) headed to Balintawak after the ambush. Initial police reports indicate Danganan's Toyota Lite Ace mini-van (TGL-217) was making a turn to Villareal Street from Quirino Avenue in Quezon City when the attackers shot him using .45-cal. pistols. The incident reportedly happened at around 7:45 a.m. The victim lost control of his vehicle as it hit a nearby waiting shed. GMANews.TV
