Cebu grad tops 2018 Chemist Licensure Exams

Cebu grad tops October 2018 Chemist Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

Aaron Gabriel Buenconsejo Uy bested 496 successful examinees with a grade point average of 91.20.

For the Chemist Licensure Examination, out of 1, 101 who took the exams, only 496 passed while out of 1,916 graduates who took the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination, 1,673 passed.

Carl Angelo Mateo Caluag of UP-Diliman placed second with a grade of 89.50, followed by Mapua Institute of Technology-Manila graduate Peter Matthew Paul Toribio Fowler (88.35), Ateneo de Manila University's Paulerni Gulinao Coloyan (87.85), and Melvin Agustin Castrosanto of UP-Los Baños (87.45).

Rounding up the top ten list are UP-Diliman's Bernard Isaiah dela Cruz Lo (87.40), ADMU's Mexwell Bennet Quemado Tomelden (87.05), Reuben James Zurbano Rosal of Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Main (86.80), ADMU's Cris Dan Castillo Bajacan (86.75), and UP-Diliman graduates Ranie Rovine Sayago Brillantes (86.30) and Ernest Guiller Suganob Pineda (86.30).

The top three successful examinees of the Chemical Technician Licensure Examination were Jao Jancen Boloyos Ruiz of Mapua Institute of Technology-Manila (92.50), Mitzi Kathleen Agbayani Pico of Central Minadano University (91.50), and Mary Rose Trillo Sullano of Mindanao University of Science and Technology-Cagayan de Oro (91.50).

The PRC noted that those who failed to pass the board examination for Chemist but had obtained a rating of at least 70 percent in any two subjects can register as Chemical Technician. — BAP, GMA News
