Some commuters complain, others praise PITX dry run
Some passengers were dismayed at the dry run for the newly-inaugurated Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX), as they complained about delays in the arrivals and departures of provincial buses.
The arrivals of the buses at the terminal were difficult to anticipate due to traffic, thus bringing confusion to commuters, according to an Unang Balita report by Bam Alegre.
Others were also disappointed that some of the buses are not heading to Batangas.
Because of delays in departures of the buses, the passengers' travcel time got pushed back by around 15 minutes.
The PITX management, however, said it is already trying to fix the issues raised by travelers and accommodating their inputs.
The management is also exploring the possibility of using digital cards for payment in the future.
Commuter Mang Herman, who had a 7 a.m. trip, was already at the terminal since 1 a.m. He praised the accommodation by the staff as he waited for his trip.
"Ako naman po ay natutuwa at maganda po naman ang suporta ng mga empleyado, sadya pong inaasikaso nila. Medyo napakaganda po ng lugar," Mang Herman said.
Authorities said the landport aims to ease the traffic in Metro Manila, especially this coming Christmas.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the volume of vehicles in Metro Manila increases by 20 percent in the "ber" months.
