Teddy Boy Locsin explains controversial tweets in Bawal ang Pasaway with Mareng Winnie

Outspoken Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin has explained some of his controversial comments in the social media.

In an episode of Bawal ang Pasaway with Mareng Winnie that will air on GMA News TV on Monday night, Locsin was confronted with a 2016 tweet, which he started with Spanish expletives.

"Hja de p—, my mom was part Spanish Jew so I'm part of The Chosen People, explains why I am smart and you monkeys stupid," the tweet read, supposedly in response when he said not all things the Nazis did were wrong.

Asked by anchor Winnie Monsod if he actually said that not all the Nazis did were wrong, Locsin said, "You know why? Because you taught me."

Locsin said Monsod, his colleague in the Corazon Aquino Cabinet, told him to buy the books written by German economist Hjalmar Schacht, who served as Hitler's minister of economics before World War II.

"You said he went to the Philippines to craft our economic policies, specifically the Central Bank," Locsin said.

"You know why? Because the Germans under the Nazis were the experts in controlling inflation. You said that to me," he added.

Told that Monsod had no recollection of the said events, Locsin said, "You better have because I bought all the books you told me to buy." —NB, GMA News
