Gadon on his controversial remarks: 'Hindi nakakamatay 'yan'
Senate aspirant Larry Gadon believes his outbursts and expletive-laden remarks can't be considered immoral and will not be effective bases for his disbarment.
"Dapat mas mabigat pa diyan 'yung akusasyon. Pangalawa 'yung mga paratang nila sa akin na sinasabi nila na immoral, wala namang immoral. Sa pagkakaalam ko hindi nakakamatay 'yan," Gadon said during Debate 2019: The GMA Senatorial Face-off held Saturday.
"Ang nakakamatay 'yung Dengvaxia, 'yung Yolanda, 'yung SAF 44. Pero 'yung mga sinasabi ko, mga atake 'yan ng pananalita pero wala akong pinatay kahit isa," he added.
Gadon was referring to the controversial anti-dengue vaccine Dengvaxia, the onslaught of Typhoon Yolanda, and the firefight in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, where 44 members of the elite Special Action Force (SAF) perished—controversies under the Aquino administration.
The senatorial bet became the subject of memes on social media after he cursed the supporters of former Supreme Court Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and called them "mga bobo."
At least four disbarment cases were filed against him for the incident.
In 2016, a disbarment complaint was also lodged against him due to his alleged hateful remarks against the Muslims.
During the debate, Gadon also said that surveys on leading senatorial candidates should not be trusted by the public.
"'Yung mga surveys kasi, halata naman na 'yan ay propaganda at mind conditioning at prelude to cheating," he said.
"There are 42,000 barangays in the whole Philippines. 55 million voters, magsusurvey ka ng 1,800 edi wala sa ano 'yun, walang tamang formula," Gadon added.
He accused major survey firms as "bayaran, propagandist and cheaters."
