Bong Go denies alleged drug links
Senatorial candidate and former special assistant to the President Christopher "Bong" Go has denied accusations that he is involved in the illegal drug trade.
A report on GMA News TV's News to Go said Go even quickly lifted his shirt to show his back while speaking before officials of San Pedro, Laguna to prove that he does not have a tattoo with a supposed code.
He also denied being a member of a drug syndicate, the report added.
In a video titled "Ang Totoong Narco List - Episode 3,” a certain Bikoy accused Go of owning four local bank accounts where proceeds from the narcotics trade were allegedly deposited.
It also said Go, who supposedly uses the code name "TESOROGOLF-TSG-002," has a dragon tattoo on his back.
"It’s so easy to write a story and do a movie or video out of that. Madaling gawin lahat iyon eh. Eh kung totoo iyon, di sana nag-file na sila ng mga charges,” he said.
"Mag-file kayo ng charges kung totoo iyong sinasabi ninyo," he added.
In the first video released last week, Bikoy, who claimed to be a former drug syndicate member, alleged that Paolo Duterte, son of President Rodrigo Duterte, received drug money amounting to millions.
In the second video, Bikoy linked other members of Duterte's family to the illegal drug trade. The allegations have since been denied. — Amita Legaspi/RSJ, GMA News
