NWRB expects Angat water to breach lowest level on record
The water level in Angat Dam is merely 1.2 meters away from its lowest point recorded at the reservoir in 2010, and will likely breach that level in the absence of significant rainfall in the watershed, according to the National Water Resources Board (NWRB).
In 2010, the lowest Angat Dam water level in history was recorded at 157.57 meters.
NWRB Executive Director Sevillo David Jr. noted the water level Angat at the reservoir touched 158.77 meters as of Tuesday morning.
“As of today, Angat Dam level is 158.77, decreasing on the average of around 0.4 meter daily,” David told GMA News Online.
The water level is expected to breach its 2010 record low, he said. “If there is no significant rainfall in Angat Dam watershed, current level might be lower than the record low of 2010 by the end of this week.” —VDS, GMA News
