Water safe despite yellowish color, Maynilad assures customers
West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) on Monday assured its customers that its water is potable despite its yellowish color following a service interruption.
Interviewed on Unang Balita on Monday, Maynilad spokesperson Grace Laxa explained that the yellowish color is due to "mineral deposits" embedded in the pipes that was carried out by the water.
She said the yellowish color is "normal" after a water service interruption.
Laxa advised customers to leave their faucets on for several minutes or until the water returns to its normal color before using the water.
"Or lagyan natin ng puting tela 'yung bunganga ng ating gripo o patiningin muna natin. Pag malinaw na, puwede na," she added.
Despite this, she assured their customers that their water is clean and potable.
—KBK, GMA News
