The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday welcomed the recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey in which the government's drugs campaign was given an "excellent" net satisfaction rating by the public.

“This goes to show na ‘yung mga tao natin, they appreciate our campaign and also of course the PDEA and all law enforcement agencies that are involved in illegal drugs operations,” Police General Oscar Albayalde said in a press briefing.

“We are very happy and thankful to the community na naa-appreciate nila ‘yung ating efforts, ‘yung ating kampanya laban sa iligal na droga,” he added.

In its own statement, the PDEA said the satisfaction rating was very gratifying to the agency.

“Meeting the public’s expectation is the ultimate reward for the hard work, dedication and sacrifices of PDEA operatives, giving renewed vitality for the agency to continue to perform its mandate,” PDEA said.

The SWS survey results showed that 54 percent were very satisfied and 28 percent were somewhat satisfied with the war on drugs.

Five percent were very dissatisfied while seven percent were somewhat dissatisfied. Six percent were undecided.

This gave the war on drugs a net satisfaction rating of +70 which the pollster classified as “excellent.” — DVM, GMA News
