Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac on Wednesday admitted that some police officials were disappointed with the major revamp that was recently implemented in the police organization.

Banac underscored that the recent shakeup in the PNP was part of the career development of all policemen.

Police Lieutenant General Archie Francisco Gamboa, PNP's officer-in-charge, has ordered a major revamp in the police organization following President Rodrigo Duterte’s dismay on the supposed involvement of police officials in the alleged drug recycling scheme.

The movements involve two Police Major Generals, 17 Police Brigadier Generals and two Police Colonels.

Gamboa said he is expecting "fresh ideas, fresh enthusiasm and fresh resolve" from commanders following the revamp.

Despite the disappointment of some policemen, Banac assured the public that the whole PNP still supports Gamboa and his programs.

—KBK, GMA News
