Manny Pacquiao gets political science degree from UMak


Senator Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday graduated from the University of Makati (UMak) with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Major in Local Government Administration.

The boxer joined over 400 graduates from the university as their degrees were confirmed by Acting UMak President Makati City Mayor Abby Binay.

Before his graduation ceremony, Pacquiao on Facebook posted a throwback picture of himself in a boxer's stance with the caption: Dream it. Believe it. Achieve it.

His wife, Jinkee, also congratulated Pacquiao and expressed pride in the senator in her Facebook page and Instagram.

The senator earned his high school diploma by passing an accreditation and equivalency test. He was also asked to be an ambassador for the Department of Education's Alternative Learning System in 2007.

In 2008, Pacquiao took up business administration at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University.
