GMA News colleagues pay tribute to late Cesar Apolinario on social media

Several GMA News personalities took to Twitter to pay tribute to reporter, host, and director Cesar Apolinario who passed away at 46 years old on Friday.

On Twitter, Raffy Tima posted a black and white picture of Apolinario, saying that the late reporter was "more than a colleague, he was a friend."

On Facebook, fellow GMA News reporter Bernadette Reyes wrote a short message addressed to Apolinario.

Meanwhile, GMA News' Dano Tingcungco expressed difficulty in accepting the news.

"Still in denial, hirap paniwalaan.

An hour later, Tingcungco posted what he said was his and Apolinario's favorite photo of the two of them together.

"Of all the photos we had together, you said this was your favorite.

Before news on the death of Apolinario broke out, GMA News' JP Soriano expressed his heartbreak by tweeting a broken heart and providing no context.

Hours later, Soriano thanked Apolinario for his impact on the former's life.

According to Soriano, Apolinario was "a mentor, a kuya, and a friend."

Cedric Castillo, also of GMA News, meanwhile retweeted the news on Apolinario's death and thanked him for bringing laughter in their lives.

Super Radyo dzBB's Rowena Salvacion praised Apolinario for his humble attitude in the industry and thanked him for providing joy in the middle of coverage.

GMA News' Ian Cruz also expressed his thanks on the social media platform, posting a picture of their group singing.

Meanwhile, Oscar Oida said his thanks in a simple, straightforward tweet.

GMA News' Mark Salazar also expressed his grief on Facebook, sharing a photo of Apolinario with the caption, "a very sad day."

Meanwhile, GMA News reporter Athena Imperial lamented Apolinario's lost chance to host next year's Christmas party.

Para mapilitan kang magpalakas," she said in a post.
