UE grad tops 2019 Dentist Licensure Exam

A graduate of the University of the East-Manila emerged number one in the Dentist Licensure Examination (Practical Phase), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday.

The PRC said that 541 out of 687 who took the examination passed the practical phase, while 540 out of 1,549 examinees hurdled the written phase.

Both exams were given the Board of Dentistry in Manila in December 2019.

Elyssa Jane Fernandez Tan of UE-Manila topped the examination's practical phase with 83.03%.

She was followed by fellow UE-Manila graduate, John Michael Briones Panganiban at second with 82.94% and University of the Philippines-Manila graduate Maxine Anne Alejandrino Remulla at third with 82.60%.
