Sotto, six other senators get tested for COVID-19

Seven senators including Senate President Vicente Sotto III have submitted samples for COVID-19 testing.

Sotto said the seven senators included himself, Senators Pia Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson, Imee Marcos, Grace Poe, Ramon Revilla Jr., and Francis Tolentino.

They were all tested by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine at Sotto's office.

All of them were not manifesting symptoms.

Results of laboratory tests are expected in two days, he added.

On Monday night, their colleague Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri tested positive for COVID-19 despite being asymptomatic.
