PMA says incoming cadets need to be tested for COVID-19 first before going to Baguio
The Philippine Military Academy is processing the arrival of the incoming 350 cadets of Class 2024 in line with the protocols implemented by the national government amid the COVID-19 threat.
According to the PMA, the conduct of RT-PCR testing and mandatory quarantine will be implemented among the incoming cadets before they will be allowed to travel to Fort Del Pilar in Baguio City.
The incoming cadets of PMA Class 2024 were told to report to the unified command headquarters near to their residences last May 31 where they will be placed under quarantine.
Those who will test negative for COVID-19 will be cleared to travel to Baguio City while those who will test positive will remain under quarantine. The PMA said medical clearance is needed before an incoming cadet can be finally accepted to the military school.
Upon arriving in Baguio City, the PMA Class 2024 will be separated from the rest of the members of the Cadet Corps of the AFP while undergoing training.
The PMA, which remains closed to the public, continues to implement all necessary health protocols in training and educating cadets to ensure their safety as well the whole PMA community. --Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
