More than 100 employees of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) have tested negative for the coronavirus disease 2019.

According to the DOTr, the 104 employees tested negative in a Food and Drug Administration approved rapid test conducted by Komutr, an automatic fare collection mobile phone application.

Jaydee Gungon-Chua, the chief operating officer of Komutr, was pleased with the test results.

“[T]his means that they could all continue serving the people especially during this time that we are battling this health crisis,” Gungon-Chua said in a statement.

He also stressed the importance of following quarantine protocols.

“Let us all abide by the rules and quarantine protocols that are being implemented by the government and the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases or IATF,” he said.

The Philippines on Saturday reported a total of 25,392 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 5,706 recoveries and 1,074 fatalities.  — DVM, GMA News
