Travel agencies get gov't approval to operate in GCQ areas

Travel agencies can now operate in areas under general community quarantine, Malacañang said Friday.

However, the travel agencies must only maintain a skeleton workforce to do administrative tasks such as the processing of refunds and payments to suppliers, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a televised briefing.

Roque said the guidelines were approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases on Thursday.

Previously, travel agencies were not allowed to operate in GCQ areas.
