COVID-19 infections at PCOO climb to 13

The number of employees who have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the Presidential Communications Operations Office has climbed to 13, the agency announced Saturday.

Due to this, operations at the New Executive Building will be suspended until further notice as a precautionary measure.

The PCOO said that shuttle services will also be suspended.

It urged offices  to adopt a work-from-home arrangement for the duration of the suspension.

Despite this, Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said that the agency’s coverage plan for President Rodrigo Duterte’s fifth State of the Nation Address on Monday will proceed.

Andanar previously announced that he has tested negative for the virus after taking an RT-PCR test on Thursday. -MDM, GMA News
