4-year-old boy dies after choking on candy
A four-year-old boy died after he apparently choked on a jelly candy earlier this week in Baybay, Leyte.
According to Nico Waje's report on "Stand for Truth", Kier Nayre was brought to two hospitals because of the emergency.
Kier's loved ones said he could have survived if only he was given proper attention at the two hospitals where he was taken.
They said they had to wait for one and a half hours waiting for an ambulance at the first hospital before Kier was brought to the second.
At the bigger hospital, the choking victim Kier had to be subjected to a swab test before he could be treated. Staff said it was needed to comply with the facility's protocol.
Even after hospital personnel said Kier had died, his father still tried to revive him through CPR. -NB, GMA News
