Velasco: This year’s SONA set-up will be similar to 2020’s

President Rodrigo Duterte's State of the Nation Address (SONA) this year will likely have the same set-up as last year's, House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco said on Tuesday.

"Sa tingin ko po, it's going to be the same as last year... iilan lang po ang papayagan natin mag attend sa SONA...  for the safety of everyone and the President of course," Velasco said in a radio interview.

(I think it will be the same as last year. We will limit the number of attendees for the safety of everyone, especially the President.)

Amid the threat of COVID-19, Duterte delivered his fifth SONA at the Batasang Pambansa last year with only a maximum of 50 people physically attending.

His SONA lasted for 1 hour 40 minutes and 45 seconds. — BM, GMA News
