Contact tracer continued working even in isolation due to COVID-19

A contact tracer in Metro Manila continued to do his duties over the phone even after testing positive for COVID-19.

According to a report on "24 Oras" on Thursday, even in isolation, Mhanz Panganiban continued calling up patients.

Panganiban experienced symptoms such as loss of taste and smell and immediately underwent quarantine. When he recovered, he said he realized how hard it was to be a COVID-19 patient.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) earlier this month inked a pact to boost the hiring of contact tracers amid the surge in cases. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
