House elects Sharon Garin as economic panel chair

The House of Representatives elected AAMBIS-OWA party-list Representative Sharon Garin as chairperson of the Committee on Economic Affairs. 

Garin was elected as the lower chamber resumed its session on Monday afternoon after its more than a month break.

Garin replaced Aklan Representative Teodorico Hareso Jr. 

The said committee handles all matters directly and principally relating to economic development planning and programs inclusive of economic and socio-economic studies and development policies and strategies. —KG, GMA News
