PNP reports 58 new COVID-19 cases

Fifty-eight more personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on Wednesday, bringing the total to 29,080, according to the agency.

The PNP also announced that total recoveries climbed to 27,594 after 135 more patients recovered from the illness.

Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 77.

There are 1,409 PNP personnel still undergoing treatment.

The Philippines has reported a total of 1,485,457 COVID-19 cases, of which 1,414,817 have recovered and 26,232 have died.—Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
