Pinaglabanan Shrine lights up in Bonifacio’s image for Nat’l Heroes’ Day, Pinaglabanan Day

A total of 3,380 solar-powered lights illuminated the grounds of Pinaglabanan Shrine in San Juan on Sunday night in celebration of the city's Pinaglabanan Day and National Heroes’ Day.

The lights form the image of Andres Bonifacio.

National Heroes’ Day and San Juan's Pinaglabanan Day are both celebrated on August 30. The Battle of Pinaglabanan on August 30, 1896 was the first encounter between members of the Katipunan and the Spanish Guardia Civil.
