CA approves nominations, appointments of 32 senior AFP officers

The nominations and ad interim appointments of 32 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines were approved by the powerful Commission on Appointments (CA) Wednesday.

The approval came after the CA committee on national defense quickly endorsed their appointments to the plenary.

The CA approved the promotions of the following senior AFP officers:

• Edward Libago to the rank of major general
• Florante Sison to the rank of brigadier general
• Jaime Abawag Jr. to the rank of brigadier general
• Danilo Fuentes Jr. to the rank of rear admiral
• Ferdinand Razalan to the rank of brigadier general
• Julius Cabarloc to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Dennis Caña to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Ronald Albert Genete to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Ruben Guinolbay to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Fernando Balona to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Jose Aycardo Jr. to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Crescencio Mogado to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Christian Manglicmot to the rank of colonel, Philippine Air Force
• Abraham Bayan to the rank of colonel, Medical Corps (Reserve)
• George Cabreros to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
• Noberto Aromin to the rank of colonel, Philippine Army
