Ateneo leads 4 Philippine universities in 2022 Graduate Employability rankings


Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) is the best school in the Philippines when it comes to preparing students for the world beyond higher education, according to the latest QS World University Rankings on graduate employability.

The 2022 list named four Philippine universities in total, with ADMU (ranked 151-160) being the only school in the top 200. 

University of Santo Tomas (UST) came second at 251-300, while both De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of the Philippines (UP) were ranked at 301-500.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States topped the list overall, with two other American universities (Stanford and UCLA) completing the top 3.

Meanwhile, China’s Tsinghua University outperformed all universities in Asia in terms of graduate employability.

The Top 10 universities according to the 2022 Graduate Employability Rankings are as follows:

  1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (US)
  2. Stanford University (US)
  3. University of California, Los Angeles (US)
  4. The University of Sydney (Australia)
  5. Harvard University (US)
  6. Tsinghua University (China)
  7. University of Oxford (UK)
  8. The University of Melbourne (Australia)
  9. Cornell University (US)
  10. The University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

The 2022 Graduate Employability Rankings takes a closer look at the ability of universities to adequately prepare students for employment by connecting them with global employers and ensuring they develop the necessary skills and knowledge.

"As the world recovers from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of graduating with the skills and qualities required by modern employers has arguably never been greater," the QS website said.
