Philippines gets over 1 million doses of government-procured Pfizer vaccine


The Philippines received 1,016,730 doses of government-procured Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on Friday night.

The Pfizer doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 3 past 10 p.m.

The National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 said at least 101,790 doses were allocated to Cebu City; 813,150 doses to Manila; and 101,790 doses to Davao.

Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. expressed gratitude to the United States government for the delivery of the vaccines.

On Thursday night, a total of 1,014,390 doses of the Pfizer doses arrived in the Philippines.

As of latest count, the Philippines has administered 53,838,248 vaccine doses against COVID-19. —Richa Noriega/LDF, GMA News
