919 applicants hurdle PNP entrance test –Napolcom
A total of 919 aspiring police applicants passed the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance examination, the National Police Commission (Napolcom) announced.
In a statement, Napolcom Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer (VCEO) Vitaliano Aguirre II said that the 919 passers represented 12.55% of the 7,325 PNP entrance examinees who took that test last July.
Meanwhile, 825 police officers also passed the promotional examinations.
Per category, the number of passers were:
- Police Officer 1st Class Examination for Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel with 17 passers;
- Police Officer 2nd Class Examination for Police Lieutenant and Police Captain with 49 passers;
- Police Officer 3rd Class Examination for Police Master Sergeant, Police Senior Master Sergeant, Police Chief Master Sergeant and Police Executive Master Sergeant with 173 passers; and
- Police Officer 4th Class Examination for Police Corporal and Police Staff Sergeant with 586 passers.
“The release of the results of police examinations is in consonance with the commission’s commitment to the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to make available the examination results within 45 working days from the date of the examinations,” Aguirre said.
Aguirre reiterated that the commission’s earlier warning of committing any form of irregularity including heating, impersonation, perjury, or violation of examination rules among others may be sanctioned with perpetual disqualification.
Individual Certificates of Eligibility or Reports of Rating will be sent by mail to all examinees. Certification of successful examinees may be issued upon request both at the Napolcom Central and Regional Offices. — DVM, GMA News
