The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on Thursday started its flu vaccination among its personnel after receiving 4,000 flu vaccine doses from Zuellig Pharma.

The donation was personally accepted by PCG deputy commandant for operations Vice Admiral Eduardo Fabricante and PCG public affairs commander Commodore Armando Balilo at the PCG national headquarters in Port Area, Manila.

The flu vaccination among uniformed and non-uniformed personnel was then led by Commander Ma. Corazon Aguilar of the Coast Guard Medical Service.

According to PCG, a total of 225 personnel at the national headquarters received the flu shot as of 1 p.m.

Other commands, units, and offices of the PCG within the NCR and Cavite areas will also be given several boxes of flu vaccines.

The PCG thanked Zuellig Pharma for the donation which helps “uphold the health and safety of PCG frontline personnel, especially amid the ongoing pandemic.”—Giselle Ombay/AOL, GMA News
