Philippines receives over 1.8 million vaccine doses


More than 1.8 million vaccine doses arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday.

A total of 1,358,600 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine procured by the private sector were welcomed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Tuesday night.

The additional vaccine supply arrived past 10 p.m.

Earlier in the day, 500,000 doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine donated by Argentina also arrived in the country.

The Philippines has so far administered 101,656,199 COVID-19 vaccine doses.

At least 44 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against the virus.
