PNP chief urges cops: Take Lord Jesus Christ into your hearts
Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel should always take the Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts, its chief Police General Dionardo Carlos said in his Christmas message this Saturday.
In a video message, Carlos said it also feels like Christmas each day the cops put Jesus Christ into their hearts, according to a Super Radyo DZBB report by Rod Vega.
Carlos said police personnel practicing discipline, doing good, and contributing to the overall mission of PNP is proof that Christ is in their hearts everyday.
Carlos urged cops to put into practice the essence of Christmas with love, even amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meanwhile, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief of staff General Andres Centino urged troops to practice cooperation and love this Christmas.
Centino said a lot of people always look forward to the "ber" months, but many soldiers could not be with their loved ones due to their duties and responsibility for the country.
However, AFP troops are still able to celebrate Christmas by showing their love to their countrymen, particularly through rescue and humanitarian responder operations to those affected by Typhoon Odette in Visayas and Mindanao. —LBG, GMA News
