44 roads in Odette-hit areas reopen to traffic —DPWH

Forty-four roads in areas affected by Typhoon Odette have reopened to traffic, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said Saturday.

In a GMA News TV Live report, the DPWH said seven roads have remained impassable to all types of vehicles due to collapsed bridges, fallen trees, toppled electric posts, and other debris.

Earlier, the DPWH previously said a number of damaged bridges in areas affected by Typhoon Odette have remained not passable to vehicles.

DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado said the damaged bridges were reported in Palawan, Siargao, Dinagat Islands, Southern Leyte, and Negros Occidental. —Jamil Santos/LBG, GMA News
