Over 1.2 million Moderna vaccine doses arrive for private sector


The Philippines received a total of 1,230,800 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine procured by the private sector on Wednesday night.

The fresh batch of vaccine doses arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal (NAIA) 1 past 9 p.m.

According to the National Task Force Against COVID-19, a total of 1,357,300 doses of the Moderna vaccine purchased by the private sector also arrived at NAIA 1 around 1:20 a.m.

This brings to a total of 2,588,100 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine that arrived in the country on Wednesday.

The country earlier received 1,981,500 additional doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, also purchased by the private sector.

Based on the latest data from the National COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard, a total of 107,277,506 doses were administered, with over 48 million individuals fully vaccinated as of December 28.
