PNP daily COVID-19 cases jump to 107 from 8
From only eight on Monday, the number of new COVID-19 cases among Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel climbed to 107 on Tuesday.
Based on PNP data, these new infections brought the total of active cases among the police ranks to 164.
On December 26 and 27, 2021, the PNP reported zero new COVID-19 infections in the police organization. New cases started emerging again on December 28.
The PNP has recorded a total of 42,370 cases, of which 42,081 have already recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 125 PNP personnel have died due to COVID-19.
According to the PNP, 215,916 (95.49%) of its personnel have already received their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine while 8,702 (3.85%) are still awaiting their second dose.
At least 1,492 (0.66%) of PNP personnel have yet to be vaccinated, according to its data. —Joviland Rita/KBK, GMA News
