US Embassy in Manila cancels interview appointments for non-immigrant visas

The United States (US) Embassy in the Philippines has cancelled interview appointments for non-immigrant visa applicants this month amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Friday, the US Embassy said the cancellation of the interview appointments served as a precautionary measure to curb spread of the coronavirus.

The embassy said there would no additional fee for changing of interview appointments.

It added that the validity of the visa fee payment had been extended until September 30, 2023.

Applicants were advised to visit the official website of the US Embassy in the Philippines for more information. —Richa Noriega/NB, GMA News
