Año tests positive again for COVID-19

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año on Tuesday said he tested positive for COVID-19 anew.

“After several of my close contacts had tested positive, last night I also received a positive COVID-19 RT-PCR test result,” he said in a statement.

In 2020, Año also tested positive for the disease twice in March and August.

Año said he is still asymptomatic and will keep working his duty while in isolation.

“I encourage everyone to get vaccinated and boostered as soon as possible, and to continue following health protocols,” he added. — RSJ, GMA News
