Some Pacquiao camp members needed to be weeded out —campaign manager
The campaign manager of presidential candidate and incumbent Senator Manny Pacquiao on Wednesday said some members from their camp had to be removed.
Interviewed on ANC, Pacquiao’s campaign manager Buddy Zamora made the statement when was asked for confirmation if Pacquiao supposedly had a fight with his “manager”.
He was also asked if there were members of the camp who were removed.
Zamora confirmed but refused to disclose their names.
“When I came in, there were a lot of people that needed to be weeded out… Yes, that's right (we removed some people). But I would not want to mention names,” he added.
Zamora denied that a physical fight happened involving Pacquiao and the team.
On Tuesday, Pacquiao launched his presidential campaign for Eleksyon 2022 with a motorcade in his hometown General Santos City.
In his speech during the proclamation rally on Tuesday, Pacquiao vowed that he will not become a "trapo" or traditional politician if he is given a chance to lead the country, adding that he will make sure that he will address the problems of poor Filipinos. —KG, GMA News
