DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan — Presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno is open to revealing his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN), but only if other candidates will do the same.

“Yes, why not. E 'di maglabasan kaming lahat. Sabay sabay. Sabihin mo sa kanila sabay sabay,” Moreno said in an ambush interview at Stadia in Dagupan City.

(Yes, why not. We should all reveal our SALN. At the same time. Tell them we should reveal it at the same time.)

When questioned on his camp’s refusal to grant SALN requests, Moreno said the problem was if the same request was asked of the other presidential candidates.

“Kung sabay-sabay kami, okay lang, walang problema. Kasi ang ginagawa ngayon, did you allow somebody to be destroyed and create a spin on something that is not true or just to create an impression? Sa akin, dapat pantay pantay,” he said.

(If we will do it at the same time, there’s no problem. Because what’s happening now is, did you allow somebody to be destroyed and create a spin on something that is not true or just to create an impression? For me, it should be equal.)

During the Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews, Moreno, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senators Manny Pacquiao and Panfilo Lacson all agreed that the SALN of government officials must be made available to the public.

Fellow candidate and former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong"  Marcos Jr., on the other hand, earlier said he sees no reason why the SALN should be made public if it would be used to politically attack government officials.

But he later said that he would allow the release of his SALN to the public.

Meanwhile, Moreno said he is in favor of lifting the mask mandate within the year if science agrees with it.

“Unang una, tosgas (gastos) din naman sa tao 'yan e. Hirap na rin ang tao ng kakagastos, but ako makikinig ako sa mga siyentipiko at mga health experts,” he said.

(First of all, that’s additional expenses to the people. They are already having a hard time, but I will listen to the scientists and the health experts.)

“And I think DOH for that matter knows better than me because they are supported by doctors and scientists with their policy,” he added.—AOL, GMA News
