Retired SC Justice Carandang appointed as PhilJA chancellor

Retired Supreme Court Justice Rosmari Carandang has been appointed as chancellor of the Philippine Judicial Academy (PhilJA), the court’s judicial education arm.

Carandang, who succeeded retired SC Justice Arturo Brion, took her oath before Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo at the SC Session Hall on Wednesday.

She is the second woman to hold the top PhilJA post after the late former SC magistrate Ameurfina Melencio Herrera.
