Mocha Uson hurt in motorcycle accident in Bataan

Former Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) deputy administrator Mocha Uson suffered injuries following a motorcycle accident in Bataan last week.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Uson said that she was riding a motorcycle when the accident occurred on February 25, leaving her with a fractured collar bone and a bruised knee.

The former OWWA official requested prayers since she will undergo surgery to treat her bone fractures and more tests to see if other parts of her body have been damaged.

“Hiling ko ang inyong panalangin sa aking darating na operasyon. Hindi ko alam kung papaano tayo mangangampanya nito basta ang aking alam ay isa lamang itong pagsubok. Tuloy tuloy ang ating pakikipaglaban para sa ating mga ina at kababaihan. Salamat sa mga tutulong mangampanya para sa ating MOCHA PARTY LIST,” she said.

(I ask for your prayers for my upcoming surgery. I don’t know how we’re going to campaign, but I know it’s just a challenge. We'll keep fighting for our mothers and women. Thank you to all who have committed to help us in our campaign for the Mocha Party List.)

She also thanked the officials of the Bataan local government unit who assisted her in the hospital.

The Commission on Elections earlier approved the accreditation of Mothers for Change as a party-list group in connection with the May 9 polls.

Mothers for Change’s first two nominees are Uson and volleyball player Michelle Gumabao.
