Raffy Tulfo still on top in Pulse Asia's February 2022 senatorial survey

Broadcast journalist Raffy Tulfo is still on top of Pulse Asia Research Inc.'s Eleksyon 2022 senatorial aspirants survey, the results of which were released on Monday.

Tulfo scored a 66.9% rating in the survey, which was taken last February.

Tulfo was followed by Antique Representative Loren Legarda with 58.9%, former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar with 56.2%, Taguig lawmaker Alan Peter Cayetano with 55.0%, Senator Miguel Zubiri with 50.5%, and Sorsogon Governor Francis Escudero with 49.8%.

Other senatorial aspirants who have a statistical chance of winning in the coming polls include actor Robin Padilla with 47.3%, former Vice President Jejomar Binay with 45.6%, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian with 44.6%, Senator Joel Villanueva with 42.0%, former Senator Jinggoy Estrada with 38.6%, and former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista with 32.8%.

Bautista was followed by Senator Risa Hontiveros and former lawmaker JV Ejercito with ratings of 32.3% and 31.6%, respectively.

The survey was taken from February 18 to 22 using face-to-face interviews of 2,400 representative adults who are registered voters and likely to vote in the May 2022 elections.

The question asked respondents was: "Kung ang nasabing eleksyon sa Mayo 2022 ay isasagawa sa ngayon, sino-sino sa mga susunod na personalidad ang iyong iboboto bilang senador?"

The survey also showed that 1.4% of likely voters were uncertain in their choices for senator, another 0.3% refused to name their preferred senatorial candidates, and 0.8% were unlikely to vote for any senatorial aspirant.

Meanwhile, former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. maintained his lead among fellow presidential bets, scoring 60% in the second consecutive Pulse Asia survey.

Likewise, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte dominated her vice-presidential rivals for the second straight pre-election Pulse Asia poll, scoring 53% with Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto coming in second with a 24% rating. — DVM, GMA News
