Despite trailing in the latest Pulse Asia survey, presidential candidate Leody de Guzman on Tuesday said that he remained confident that the public would vote for a labor leader who could provide concrete solutions to the problems they faced, such as the steep increase in the prices of fuel and other basic goods.

De Guzman made the remark following the recently-released Eleksyon 2022 pre-election poll results in which he scored 0.1% among the presidential bets.

Former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. topped the poll with a 60% rating.

Vice President Leni Robredo was second with 15%, followed by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno with 10%.

(My confidence in the Filipino people remains. I know they will side with the candidate who can come up with a solution to the problems they are facing, especially now that the price hike in fuel and basic commodities is unbearable.)

He emphasized that only a laborer candidate could provide concrete solutions to such problems.

(The concrete solutions to these could only be heard and come from a laborer candidate. The voters just need to reach and hear my platform and stand on issues.)

According to the survey result, De Guzman rated 0% in the National Capital Region, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

His running mate, Professor Walden Bello, on the other hand, also scored 0.1% in the survey conducted from February 18 to 23. — DVM, GMA News
