Raffy Tulfo keeps top spot in OCTA's April senatorial survey


Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo and former Public Works and Highways Chief Mark Villar topped OCTA Research's Tugon ng Masa survey for April.

The survey, conducted from April 2 to 6, 2022, showed Tulfo leading with 68% followed by Villar with 59%.

Antique Representative Loren Legarda, a former senator, was a close third with 56% while Senate Majority Leader Miguel Zubiri ranked fourth with 54%.

Rounding up the winners' circle were:

  • Sorsogon governor and former senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero (50%)
  • Taguig Representative and former senator Alan Cayetano (48%)
  • Actor Robin Padilla (44%)
  • former vice president Jejomar Binay and former senator Jinggoy Estrada  (42%)
  • Senator Joel Villanueva (41%)
  • Senator Win Gatchalian (39%)
  • former senator JV Ejercito (36%) and
  • Senator Risa Hontiveros (33%)

Hovering close to the so-called Magic 12 were former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista with 28%, former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque with 25%, and retired Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar with 24%.

The OCTA poll was conducted nationwide on 1,200 male and female respondents aged 18 years and above who are registered and likely voters from income Class AB, C, D or E homes.

OCTA's margin of error is ±3%.

Meanwhile, the tandem of former senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte lead OCTA's presidential and vice presidential surveys for the same month.
