MANILA, Philippines - The next Mass for truth in the $329.48-million ZTE scandal will be held on Sunday, at no less than the alma mater of key witness Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr. A statement from the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) said the University of Santo Tomas along España Avenue in Manila would hold the Mass for truth on March 2. "UST is in full support of Rodolfo Noel 'Jun' Lozada, who is UST’s statement to what is happening to the country today," said acting vice-rector Fr. Clarence Victor Marquez O.P. It added more than 40,000 students and staff are urged to wear yellow and attend the Mass. The UST Varsitarian, the official student publication of the UST, said the Mass and prayer vigil are organized to deplore corruption in the government. Acting Rector Fr. Rolando de la Rosa will be the main celebrant at the 10 a.m. Mass at the Santissimo Rosario Parish Church. Lozada, a 1984 Electronics and Communications Engineering graduate, was a recipient of the UST Faculty of Engineering’s Centennial Award for alumni last year. He took up high school at Aquinas University in San Juan, before studying in UST. "Lozada is living up to the Thomasian precept of truth," the Varsitarian said in its editorial. - GMANews.TV
