DOH reports 210 new COVID-19 infections; active tally drops to 14K


The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday reported 210 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide caseload to 3,684,300.

Based on the DOH’s latest bulletin, the country's active case count dropped to 14,696 compared to 15,782 on Friday.

Among the top regions with cases in the past two weeks were the National Capital Region with 1,103, followed by Region IV-A with 461 and Region III with 313.

A total of 3,609,425 patients recovered from the respiratory disease, while the number of deaths rose to 60,179.

The country’s bed occupancy rate slightly decreased from 16.7% to 16.5%, with 5,304 beds occupied and 26,833 vacant.

The Health department said 21,140 individuals were tested on Friday, while 312 testing laboratories submitted data. —VBL, GMA News
