DOH: COVID-19 vaccination sites to be set up near polling areas

The Department of Health (DOH) said the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has approved setting up COVID-19 vaccination sites near polling areas on Election Day, May 9.

Those who have not yet completed the primary series or have not received booster shots may visit nearby vaccination sites after voting, according to a report on "24 Oras Weekend" on Saturday.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the vaccination sites must be at least 30 meters away from the voting precincts.

Voters must only bring their vaccination cards, if any, and valid ID.

In addition, health stations will also be established near the precincts to accommodate voters who feel unwell. —Richa Noriega/VBL, GMA News
