Robin Padilla still leads Comelec partial, official tally with 23 million votes


Actor Robin Padilla still topped the 2022 senatorial elections based on the partial and official canvassing results in 17 regions and overseas voting released by the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) on Friday afternoon.

Sitting as the NBOC, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) canvassed the votes for senators and party-list groups coming from areas in the National Capital Region, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Caraga, BARMM, and overseas voting.

The following are the Top 12 senatoriables based on the NBOC’s National Tally Sheet Report Number 3, released on May 13, 2022 at 2:22 p.m., for the Certificates of Canvass for the said areas:

The NBOC resumed the canvassing of votes at around 1 p.m. and suspended past 5 p.m.

As of 4:45 p.m. on Friday, the NBOC canvassed a total of 138 out of 173 Certificates of Canvass for the 2022 elections.

Poll Commissioner George Garcia said Friday that the proclamation of winning senators and party-lists in the recently concluded elections is expected not later than Sunday, May 15, 2022. — DVM, GMA News
