Leading party-list groups in Comelec’s partial, official tally remain unchanged


The leading party-list groups in the 2022 elections based on the official canvassing results of the Commission on Elections remained unchanged.

In the released report on Tuesday, the Comelec, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), canvassed the votes of the senators and party-list groups from the automated election system, manual overseas voting, local absentee voting, and persons deprived of liberty as of Monday.

The ACT-CIS and 1-Rider party-list groups were still the leading party-lists in the race.

In the latest NBOC’s National Tally Sheet Report Number 6, the following party-list groups are leading on the list:

1.    ACT-CIS – 2,103,127 (5.7997)

2.    1-Rider Partylist – 999,655 (2.7567)

3.    Tingog – 884,709 (2.4397)

4.    4PS – 834,367 (2.3009)

5.    Ako Bicol – 815,892 (2.2500)

6.    Sagip – 774,103 (2.1347)

7.    Ang Probinsiyano – 713,040 (1.9663)

8.    Uswag Ilonggo – 688,914 (1.8998)

9.    Tutok to win – 684,299 (1.8871)

10. Cibac – 631,940 (1.7427)

11. Senior Citizens Partylist – 612,541 (1.6892)

12. Duterte Youth – 598,332 (1.6500)

13. Agimat – 585,730 (1.6152)

14. Kabataan – 536,007 (1.4781)

15. Marino – 523,605 (1.4439)

16. Ako Bisaya – 512,565 (1.4135)

17. Probinsyano Ako – 470,964 (1.2988)

Meanwhile, the law provides that a party-list group that gets at least 2% of the total number of votes cast in the party-list race will be entitled to at least one seat in the House of Representatives.

Those who exceed the 2% threshold will be entitled to additional seats proportionate to the number of votes cast, but the total number of seats for each winning party-list group cannot exceed three.

Those who do not meet the 2% requirement may still be able to secure a seat in the House because the party-list law also requires that 20% of House members come from the party-list ranks.

The Comelec announced that the winning Eleksyon 2022 senators would be proclaimed on the afternoon of May 18, Wednesday, while the party-lists may also be proclaimed on May 19, Thursday afternoon. — DVM, GMA News
